190 Days To Go!

ASKED & ANSWERED

We know this is a big trip with a lot of logistics, so we’ve added some more information below to answer any questions you may have!

Do I need to stay the entire weekend?

While we do hope you can join us all weekend, we understand if you’re unable. Please let us know via our RSVP's what your plans are so we can coordinate excursions and dinners accordingly.

Are Children Welcome?

While we adore the little ones in our lives, we have chosen to host an adults-only celebration for The Big Day. We hope you understand and to make things a little easier for those traveling with kids, we’ve compiled a list of reputable local childcare providers that we’re happy to share with you. If you are able to join us for any other plans during the weekend, please feel free to bring them with you!

What will the weather be like?

By late November, Waiheke usually has pleasant temperatures and moderate rainfall. Daytime temperatures generally settling around 19°C, while nighttime can see a dip to about 14°C. Expect a pleasant coastal breeze and occasional humidity. It’s perfect for beach outings and outdoor events, but consider bringing a light jacket for the evenings.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

We are optimistically hoping for blue skies and sunshine to host our ceremony & reception in the grounds at Te Motu. Should this not be the case we do have a 'wet weather' option for our day to make sure everyone isn't too damp!

What should I wear?

We ask that on our wedding day you dress to impress — we're calling it a Formal Garden Party; think full length dresses & suits, and don't be shy to make it bright & fabulous, we want all our guests to SHINE!! Please note that there will be uneven surfaces and grassy areas so we recommend to leave your stilettos at home! Please refer to the weekends schedule for the dress-code of each event but we encourage smart attire all weekend.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes there will be designated parking areas for those guests who wish to drive. Please follow the signage on the day.

What time does the ceremony start?

The ceremony begins promptly at 3:30pm. We recommend arriving at the venue no later than 3:15pm so that you can easily find a seat.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. There will also be a roaming photographer to create some great memories.

Is there a gift registry?

We are beyond grateful to be celebrating our wedding with you. We appreciate you coming from far and wide to be with us, your attendance is as good a gift as any! For those of you who insist, we’ve set up a honeymoon fund to help us relive the European Vibes and there will be a wishing well on the day.
